The enumeration of coliforms (total or thermotolerant). A reading facilitated by an indicator which colours colonies red. The upper film traps the gas produced by lactose fermentation.
Two tests in one: enumeration of Escherichia coli and coliforms. It contains a ß-glucuronidase indicator for detection of E.coli. Resulsts in 24 or 48 hours.
