3M Acrylic Foam Tape 5760 is thicker than most other acrylic foam tapes and is used where there is greater mismatch between the trim part and the sheet metal of the vehicle. The key feature of 5760 is TX-1 adhesive on the non-liner side of the tape. TX-1 adhesive is designed to bond to low surface energy plastics such as TPO and PP without the use of an adhesion promoter. AR-7 adhesive is used on the liner side of the tape for bonding to automotive paint surfaces.
