The acrylic foam core of 3M Acrylic Foam Tape 4225 has unique viscoelastic properties that allow it to elongate and relax when put under load, thereby minimizing stress on the adhesive bond line. This tape has AR-5 adhesive on both sides of the foam for bonding to a variety of automotive substrates. Typical applications include automotive rocker panel moldings, trim moldings, deck lid appliques, ground effects, and claddings.
