Vikuiti BEF II is a second-generation micro-replicated enhancement film. A single sheet provides up to 60% increase in brightness and two sheets crossed at 90° can provide up to 120% brightness increase. This increased brightness can also be translated into power savings.
Vikuiti BEF II 90/24 was designed for liquid crystal display applications where a smaller prism pitch is needed while continuing to deliver increased brightness. Prism pitch refers to the distance between the peaks of adjacent prisms.
Vikuiti BEF II 90/50 film utilizes refraction and reflection to increase the efficiency of LCD backlights. Light within the viewing cone (up to 35° off the perpendicular) is refracted toward the viewer while light outside this angle is reflected back and recycled until it exits at the proper angle.
Vikuiti NBEF-M enables the efficient light angle management in LCD backlights similar to other Vikuiti BEF II films while providing a defect hiding matte coating.
Vikuiti NBEF has properties similar to those of Vikuiti BEF II 90/50 by utilizing refraction and reflection to increase the efficiency of LCD backlights.
