The 3M Quick Swab is a ready-to-use environmental swab system consisting of a five-inch long, rayon-tipped swab containing Letheen buffer to assist recovery of bacteria. The swabs can be used wet or dry to sample surfaces and quickly deliver 1 mL of sample onto a 3M™ Petrifilm™ Plate.
The 3M Quick Swab is one of the most efficient and cost-effective and methods for environmental swabbing available. It can decrease your overall cost per test by reducing the labor required to prepare, gather and plate the sample. There is no need to prepare neutralizing diluents or use a pipette to add the sample to the plate. The 3M Quick Swab is useful for small crevices or hard to reach areas. Monitoring these areas is especially important as they can often be the most difficult to clean.
