The horizontal cable connects telecommunications closets to work are outlets. The cable is terminated in the closet's Volition™ Patch Panel and at the work area outlets with a Volition™ VF-45™ Socket.
Horizontal cable is available with two or four fibers constructed with two 250 (mu)m coated fibers housed in a
900 (mu)m buffer tube. The cable's construction incorporates strength members that resist crushing during cable pulling and 90 degree bends. All fiber optic cables meet the performance requirements in ANSI/TIA/EIA-568-A specifications.
