Application Guide
Listed below are key applications for H20/1000 glass bubbles. Documents specific to the application are listed to the right.
Density Reducing Agents for Buoyancy
3M™ Glass Bubbles H20/1000 are identical to 3M™ Glass Bubbles A20/1000 in density (0.20 g/cc) and isostatic strength (1000 psi), differing only in their surface treatment. H20/1000 glass bubbles are coated with an epoxy silane surface treatment. They are useful in high-performance buoyancy applications, especially in underwater vehicles, where their high strength-to-weight ratio maximizes buoyancy while withstanding the pressure of deep water.
