It is designed for use where a thin compressible insulation is important. It is breathable, moisture resistant, and can be washed or dry-cleaned depending on individual manufacturers' recommendations. It is available in types I, IS, and IDS. Thinsulate Ultra insulation type I contains 42% recycled polyester fibers, with a minimum of 25% post consumer waste.
Uses:
General Outerwear, Sportswear, Gloves and Accessories.
Warmth While Damp:
Retains insulating ability in damp conditions. Fibers absorb less than 1% by weight of water. Easily dried.
Flammability:
Class 1 -- as tested according to procedure described in 16 CFR Part 1610, Federal Flammable Fabrics Act.
Composition:
58% Olefin, 42% Polyester Recycled Polyester Fibers.
Available Width:
Thinsulate™ Insulation Types I, IS, and IDS are available in 60 inch roll width with 2 inch inside core diameter.
